I imaged that someday I would marry a philosopher. He was an intelligent person and a wise person. He was not a professor but he was a person that would love me so much. He was also a man who every body liked. I always doubt what I see and what I heard. I just tried to be strong when my freedoms end. He promised he would always love me forever. It made me speechless. He was really good at praised me. Of course it because he was an Oxford M.A. 

Unfortunately, day by day he became different. He was not like person I knew in the past any more. I think my dream was broken. He always belittled me because he thoughts he was smarter than I was. Because of that, I think I wanted to break up with him. However, I got confuse again when he came to me and some how he could make me fall in love again with him.

Introduction to Literature

FIRST CONFESSION

First Confession is a short story that tells us about Jackie that felt he had sins and  planned to make his first confession and communion. There are seven characters in the story. The first character is Jackie. Jackie was honest person. He was jealous with his sister, Nora, because Nora always gets pennies from grandmother every Friday. Nora is a bully person. She can be angry easily. Next character is grandmother. Grandmother is an old woman. She also a calm and awful woman. Then, Mrs. Ryan is an old woman who comes everyday to Jackie’s school at three o’clock to prepare student to make their first confession and communion. The priest is a wise person. He is a good listener.

The story has progressive plot. It was written continually time by time. It has First-person point of view because it is told by a character who uses the first-person pronoun “I”.The climax is when Jackie tells about his sin to the priest that he planned to kill his grandmother and her sister, Nora. The resolution happened when the priest suggested Jackie to think more about Jackie’s plan when Jackie wanted to do something. Then the story end when Jackie tells Nora about the Three Hail Marys and the bull’s eyes that he gets from the priest.

One day, grandmother made dinner but Jackie did not want to eat it. When his sister tried to make him, he hid under the table from her and took the bread-knife with him for protection. He stayed there till his mother came in from work and made his dinner, but when his father came in later, Nora said what happened. After that his father didn't speak to him and his mother barely spoke to Nora. Jackie felt he has sinned. He planned to make his first confession and communion but he was afraid. Nora forced him to go to the church and they made a row because Jackie refused to go to the church and finally he followed Nora go to the church. In the end, Jackie told everything to the priest honestly. Because of that, the priest give him Three Hail Marys and the bulls eyes as a reward.
